So a friend of mine wants to know if she could do some of her RP replies through drawn out pictures, similar to that of comic panels. Would that be fine?

It's fine, as far as I'm concerned, as long as it meets 2 conditions: 1) It can't break the existing rules(i.e. godmodding). 2) It shouldn't slow down the progression of the thread. It's a cool idea, but if someone has to wait an extra week to get a response back, it's not really fair to them.
Again, super-cool idea in theory, but I don't know how well it would work in practice, since I've never seen it attempted before. I think a lot of people would really get a kick out of seeing their characters like that.
Edit: The exception to this, of course, would be if the other users in the thread were okay with the wait. You know, for the chance to have someone draw their character and all.

Personally, for me, I think it'd be pretty pointless. We're supposed to be doing detailed literary RPs and if I had to wait for more than 3 days on a drawing, that was very detailed and correct without breaking the rules, I'd probably say screw the RP. xD Like ...this isn't Tumblr. I don't see a point in it.

I understand that a lot of users wouldn't like it, but as long as the people/person they are rping with is okay with it, do you think there's a problem?

Well, maybe we should get the admins together and talk about it as a group? And Juls can like, be the final say or somethin'. So then it's not just me and you all disagreein'. :U

If a person wants to add a quick illustration to their post I wouldn't mind it. I would suggest that the person contacts the user that they are rping with before hand and see if they are cool with it but as long as this illustration doesn't delay their responses for like a week or more then it doesn't seem like a problem.

Amanda and I have talked about it and I believe we came to the conclusion that, while the illustrations would be fun and many users would enjoy them, it's impossible to go into the same level of detail as a literary post. We're going to have to say "no," as a general ruling. If you want to do drawings, please feel free to, and post it somewhere where we can all see. We'd really love to see it. It just isn't a substitute for a written post.
