Although he cannot use telekinesis to lift other objects while physically lifting a heavy object, he can apply telekinesis to an object he is physically lifting, thus being able to lift a total of 6000 pounds with full concentration. When exhibiting his supernatural abilities, Hyperion’s eye color changes from a natural blue to a glowing yellow. While under heavy stress, Hyperion can uses his powers beyond their capable limits, which is usually signified when his eyes emit a glowing red light. Because he holds the powers of a paranormal force, Hyperion can also see and hear paranormal entities near him, which often times causes him to become distracted from a certain task.

Weaknesses/shortcomings:
Although Hyperion receives a power up when heavily stressed, his mental capacity significantly decreases to the point where he will attack things without any formulated reason or plan, leaving him vulnerable to being outwitted unless calmed down. Furthermore, Hyperion displays atychiphobia, the fear of failure. Even the thought of possibly not carrying out an objective can break Hyperion’s focus momentarily, and if enough pressure is put on, Hyperion could break down altogether (whether he increases in power or becomes weakens from depression is dependent on the circumstances). Finally, Hyperion’s biggest weakness comes with the nature of his powers; since they are of demonic origin, Hyperion’s powers diminish when he is in the presence of daylight; his overall speed and reaction time is much slower, and his strength and telekinetic ability decreases.
Background/history:
Evan Christon was brought up in a Baptist family in a small town; doing the right thing, he was told, was above all else. He was naturally an outcast in grade and middle school due to some early autism and low coordination, making him a priority target for bullies; this confused him, as his peers did the opposite of doing the right thing. As a result, not only did he harbor the goal of replacing hurtful insults with precious compliments by impressing his peers, but also a fear of the smallest failures. He took his goal to such a level that he became a well-known cross-country runner in his high school and a superior video gamer to his friends. Despite this, he still lacked skill in other sports, and thanks to mandatory gym classes, word of such disability leaked through several lips of his peers, bringing more discouragement than encouragement upon him.
Finally, through such negative words and an unexpected heartbreak, a seed of distrust for humanity was planted in Evan’s heart. This seed was then watered by the hostile cyber bullying received from the gaming community and targeting jokes from many of Evan’s friends that were taken too seriously, thus causing Evan to lose faith in what he had deemed safe havens. Not only did such events start growing a tree of vengeance, but Evan also, based on his experiences and observations of several political events, theorized that the world was a corrupt and evil place.
At last, taken to the peak of frustration after a breakup with his high school sweetheart at graduation, Evan’s demonic powers were finally made known to him by a demon that had been accidentally planted inside of him when he was in the fifth grade. The demon then appealed to Evan’s emotions and fractured state in order manipulate him into having a painful lifestyle, but Evan had a different idea in mind. Finding a Satanic ritual, Evan overpowered his demon and took the fallen angel’s powers for himself. Weakened, the demon was defenseless as it was sealed into Evan’s subconscious, resulting in a constant dream war between the two whenever Evan slept. Nevertheless determined to fulfill his new goal of living a life of perfection and happiness, Evan sought to use his new dark powers to create his idea of a perfect world in the only way he saw possible: to annihilate the current world and, from the ashes, create a new, perfect world, free of corruption and inequality. Renaming himself Hyperion after the Greek god of light, Evan set out to New Haven to be a new “light” to the world…
Any improvements that need to be made? Too overpowered? The equipment isn't special in any way other than the fact he owns it, so do I still need to create a thread about them?
