Hyperion caught himself as he landed back on the ground. Straight miss. How?!? Breathing deeply, he attempted to calm himself down and think while clenching his fists. The heroes stood there, as if waiting for his next move. He at least had them on the defensive, but it was only a matter of time before they overcame him. Now's not the time to completely lose it; he needed a plan, and now.
Out of the corner of his eye, he could see more police standing in the distance. Seems they're letting the heroes do their work, so unless there are snipers involved, onlookers were of no concern. He then reran his last action in his head. He remembered seeing the glass slide through the girl with the glowing eyes as if she were made up of some liquid. She was also the one to emit a painful shock throughout Hyperion's body simply by touch. Next time, she's sure to use a higher voltage on him. Fighting her in close quarters isn't an option, and it seems throwing projectiles at her is useless. She hasn't shown any ranged attacks however.
Maching Bird on the other hand is vulnerable to attacks while distracted, otherwise she's fully capable of dodging anything thrown at her. Her speed is comparable to that of a bullet, so close combat isn't much of an option. However, he could also remain untouchable from her by flying. She didn't seem to be able to do anything to him while he was in the air. But again, that'd lead to stalemate and make him a perfect target for snipers.
He looked back at the police force. They were the only spectators here, and they were too far for Hyperion's telekinetic grasp. Besides, he didn't even know if he could telekinectically lift an entire person during the day without making himself vulnerable. He needed to hurry, and fast, otherwise he could be taken out, either by the heroes or a sniper, at any second. Things definitely did not look good. The only good outcome of this would be for him to take out the heroes plus the police force. But how could he do that?
Maching Bird was distracted once before and received a hit. Maybe it can be done again. Hyperion glared at his sword that was in the hands of one of his enemies. That's how. He didn't know how the anatomy of the wielder worked, seeing as how she had made herself liquid before, but her hand must be solid in order to be holding that blade. And their eyes were fixed on him. Using his telekinesis, Hyperion gained a firm grasp of the users arm and made her swing the blade toward her speedy partner. Depending on the result, Hyperion began calculating his next move.

Miss Jellyfish looked up at Maching Bird with curious eyes and blushed when she realized she had been lifted, though she was slightly confused to find herself in Maching Bird's arms. She covered her mouth with the tips of her fingers and giggled as Maching Bird joked. She admired her sense of humor. The Heroine was even careful enough to slowly plant Miss Jellyfish back on her feet. Miss Jellyfish looked up at her new friend and then towards the sky to evaluate the time. She still had a few hours of breath left. Then she felt a tremble in her palm. The blade. She immediately thought of the villain's own abilities and forced out a shout. With all of her strength she pulled back. "D-DUCK!"

Wanda watched her current foe intently as he seemed to struggle with a plan. There was no longer anyone for him to throw, and as had just been proven, standard attacks weren't going to work for him. The young heroine opened her mouth to once more taunt her opponent when her newfound friend called out. "Duck?" She questioned, turning just in time to catch the sword in her left arm, immediately slicing through the ligament completely. She screamed in pain, instinctively hopping away from the blade as she reached to cover the wound.
Maching Bird stood silent as she pieced together the extent of her injury. Her arm hung uselessly at her side as she tried to move it, but to no avail. "First a bullet, now a sword?" she smiled through the pain, "My arm is going to hate me tomorrow." She removed her hand, allowing her blood to trickle down her arm freely. Though she continued to outwardly treat the situation as a joke, she realized the danger of the situation. Every time she stopped moving and gave this man a chance, he took it. The solution, then, was simple: Don't slow down.
In a blur of black and white, Maching Bird shot directly towards the masked man, stopping a few meters away from her target before beginning to speed in a circle pattern around the man. She continued increasing her speed, her now useless arm dangling behind her as she readied to strike. Her strike hadn't kept the man down before, but she had no intention of letting up anymore. Without a moment's warning she shot out of her holding pattern, aiming a high-speed shoulder-check with her remaining good arm towards the back of her opponent, hoping to knock him towards her new friend.

Success! Adding onto the injury he had inflicted earlier, Hyperion had successfully manipulated the arm of one of his foes into slicing the arm of the other. The yelp Maching Bird let out accompanied by the drips of blood were sure signs of victory. Perfect, now I just have to -
Suddenly, before he could perform a killing stroke, Maching Bird disappeared. Or so it seemed. The hero had dashed right in front of a surprised Hyperion before running in circles around him. So this is how it feels to be prey. Hyperion gulped down his nervousness; he knew what was coming next. Remembering the kick to the face he had received earlier, Hyperion attempted to grab Maching Bird in desperation, but she was too fast. For what seemed like a split second, the foe encircling him had disappeared. Then, instantaneously, what felt like a train engine struck Hyperion's back. He lost his footing and was helplessly being hurled toward his other opponent, whose arm was now free of his control. It was only a matter of time before he was either struck with his own weapon or received another electrical shock. You inexperienced idiot, you should have planted your feet so you could withstand the blow and counterattack. Nice going getting yourself killed moron.

Miss Jellyfish stood speechless as she witnessed the blood fly the girl's arm. She couldn't help but stare at her wound, even as Maching Bird made a joke of it. In a flash, she was gone. It was hard for Julissa to follow her movements but she caught her at the last moment, watching as she struck a brutal blow to Hyperion. She opened her eyes wide, locking her gaze on the enemy flying towards her. She stepped forward to grab hold of his arms and shocked him with every ounce of electricity she could produce without exactly killing him. She just wanted revenge. "How dare you hurt her!" She dropped Hyperion to his knees.

Maching Bird grimaced as her blow struck home, feeling her own right shoulder crack with the strike. She staggered for a few steps before regaining her footing. The young heroine watched intently as the man rocketed towards her newfound partner. She hadn't seen what was done before to immobilize him, but she was counting on her friend's ability for the finishing blow. She was not disappointed.
Wanda watched in satisfaction as her white-haired friend delivered a large jolt of electricity to the mutual foe, bringing him to his knees. "What a... shocking... ability," she called out, walking steadily towards the two. Her breathing was labored, she was in severe pain, and without the use of her right arm, but she refused to let that joke go unsaid.

Stars were everywhere. The electrical current that was sent through Hyperion's body was a lot stronger than the last one. Falling to his hands and knees, the villain who had dared to stand against the government had fallen to two young heroines. He winced in pain as he attempted to get up, only to fall back down. It hurt to move.
He looked up and saw Maching Bird barely walking toward him and the electric woman standing over him. Momentarily erasing the disappointment of his failure, Hyperion couldn't help but let out a grin as he looked at Maching Bird's arm dangling with blood making its way out of it. "At least I did something right." he mocked, trying to recover from the shock. Seems it's over. Little by little, some civilians were curiously peeking out to survey what had happened, some clapping and applauding the two superwomen that had beaten the imminent threat. Angered by this, Hyperion looked up toward the sky, where even the sun sat seemingly mocking him. He wanted to rip these ignorant people to pieces.
Sirens filled the air as several emergency vehicles followed by news vans appeared on the scene. This was it. Surely enough, he would be unmasked and taken to jail, where he would wait until night to break out and go into hiding from a country that would know who he was. You may have otherworldly powers, but you're still human. Realizing what a foolish stunt he had pulled today, Hyperion looked down in defeat, painfully clenching his fists. Wait a minute.
He had noticed something. The sun had begun to move behind a large building, casting somewhat of a big shadow over his current location. He wasn't sure if it'd work, but there might be a chance of getting out of this. He had known from the past that he was significantly stronger during the night. He wondered if it was either perhaps due to the time of day or if it was due to the fact that there was no day light. Either way, there was no guarantee of him getting any sort of power boost from this. He wasn't sure if a wall between him and the sun would do anything for him. Then again, he had noticed himself recovering faster from this shock than the last. Careful not to show any outward excitement, he was thrilled at the hope of being able to escape. It still hurt to move and breathe, but it hurt considerably less. All he'd have to do is wait for the right time, and he'd have to make his getaway fast. He knew exactly what to do if and when the time came. Maybe fate will favor me again.

Again, Julissa tried another smile when she heard Maching Bird. She took in a deep breath as the release of electricity had required quite a bit of control. Her shoulder blades and neck ached. She looked over to the friendly hero and directly at her wound, then to the cheering civilians. She tried her crooked smile towards them and raised her voice in their direction. "Could someone please g-get us a paramedic." Watching a few of them leave to do so felt reassuring. There was also the thought of being recognized as a hero now. Oh my, does this make me one of them now? She blushed and excitement ran through her veins. Reporters began tearing through the on-lookers with heavy equipment and cameras to capture their victorious moment.
A medic pushed past the audience and rushed over the masked heroine and began inspecting her for other injuries. Hyperion's head jerk caught the attention of Miss Jellyfish. "Watts got you moving much?" She looked up excitedly to see if Maching Bird had caught the pun. Police came out of the audience, guns pointed at the villain, hoping to capture Hyperion. From behind her, a cameraman cursed at the lighting due to a shadow growing over the scene of justice.

A police officer ran right past the super heroes and to her prize: the governor. She checked her neck to see if she had covered the stab wound with the plastic well enough so people would not notice. She has made the mistake before when transforming new bodies into dolls quickly, and it has led to some unfortunate scares and encounters. But this time, it seemed like everything was in its place, other than chunks of her torso being missing, but not one would notice with the police uniform over it unless they looked intently. She found the governor's body and crouched over it. "You'll be useful," she said, dragging him away from the people.

"No, no," Maching Bird insisted as paramedics were directed her way, keeping in mind warnings from her government handlers to avoid close inspection. "I get it, I know it's bad, but I'd really feel more comfortable with my own doctor." Her eyes remained focused on the downed opponent, who didn't seem nearly as 'down' as she would prefer. She continued her slow walk towards the two, stopping directly behind the man, boring imaginary holes into the back of his head with her glare before bursting out in laughter. "Watt! I get it! Maybe they should charge you with battery."
The young heroine's laughter faded as she realized just how bad off she was. Her vision was beginning to slightly blur and she was getting extremely lightheaded. This needed to be over relatively soon, or she'd surely pass out, and from there, certainly unmasked. "Officers!" She motioned for a pair of New Haven's finest to unmask and handcuff the madman. "Don't try anything stupid," she warned, eyeing the back of his head once more.

Hyperion, in a last desperate attempt to escape, struggled to get back onto his feet. The police stopped in their tracks and matched the same worried look of the super heroines. Yes, that's it, a little-
Nope. He clumsily fell right back onto the ground, face first into the pavement. That electrical shock must've done a number on him; his body was not responding to his will. He turned his head up to the two heroines, now smiling down and even giving a confident snicker as they looked down at him in victory. The police officers handcuffed his hands together, something that would normally be utterly pointless if his body wasn't still recovering from that shock. Finally, the moment he dreaded came. As one of the officers filthy hands grasped his mask, he gave Maching Bird and her unknown helped one last glare. He felt his red hair being freed and the sun making contact with his face once more. Even with all this power, fate still betrays me. The officers hoisted him up and dragged him to a squad car. "Enjoy your victory, puppets. I promise you, you won't be able to protect this world of sin forever. Change will come about. Change that won't include you."
As he was stuffed into the back of the squad car and heard his rights from the officer, he immediately began to think about the situation. Well now everyone will know who I am - who I was. Time for a new strategy. He gave one last look to the people outside; news reporters, police officers, even the same crowd of people continuing to applaud the so called heroes. Then he looked at the sun, slowly tracing it's path toward the horizon. I'll be back in no time. And next time, I'll make sure to be better equipped for both of you.

Maching Bird looked visibly relieved when the man failed to stand back up. She wasn't sure how much more help she could possibly be if the violence escalated further. The young heroine had to remain vigilant, though, if just for the few seconds it took to get the man into the police cruiser. With one last look of defiance that sent chills down her spine, the strange man was unmasked. It was an effort to force herself to study his face, but she knew it was important. His red hair and blue eyes caught her off guard immediately. It was much easier to fight him when he was behind the mask, she almost wished they had left it on him. As they hoisted him up to take him away, he spit out one last threat.
"You'd be surprised," Wanda retorted with a grin, "I adapt to change rather... quickly..." She steadied herself as subtly as she could, not wanting to show any sign of weakness while the man could still see her. Time to leave. "Thanks for your help," she continued, turning to her unexpected ally. "I really owe you one. If you ever need me, just find a camera and ask for me!" Without another moment or chance for response, Maching Bird was off like a rocket.
She wasn't sure where she was going. It was a random direction, but she didn't have the function to choose a real path home. She just wanted to get out of there, away from the cameras, somewhere she could get some help. "Wait, I don't know where I am..." She realized at a start, sliding to a stop in an area just outside of town. She took a moment to catch her breath before collapsing to the ground, gripping her injured arm and writhing in pain.
"Attention," an familiar man's voice rang in her earpiece. "It is critical that you pay attention. Do you understand?" The voice paused, waiting for a response that wouldn't come. "Wanda, it is time to wake up. Are you there? We're sending an extraction team immediately."
